Total MMORPG hours played Sunday:126,856

The Xfire community played MMORPGs 5.7% more hours on Sunday than they did the week before.  Leading the way with double-digit growth were Tera (+12.3%), Metin 2 (+11.6%) and World of Warcraft (+10.2%).  The big loser for the week was Guild Wars with a decrease of 9.8% in hours played.

No Shufflin':  For the first time since I started keeping track, The Digital Dozen has the same rankings two weeks in a row.  Tera did make a valiant rush at Eve Online, but fell a few hours short.

Is SW:TOR Stabilizing?  I've been waiting for awhile now, but with Star Wars: The Old Republic only losing less than 1% of hours played from the week before, has the game finally hit bottom?  As much as I've learned to dislike EA over the past few months, I still like the Star Wars IP and don't want to see the game fail.  I think the game has already disappointed investors and the suits at EA alike.  I really don't want to see this turn into another Tabula Rosa situation where the game gets shut down even though it has a large enough player base to keep most games running.

  1. eve is just 1/10th playtime of WOW? amazing...has it always been this amount? i doubt it. sounds very promising indeed for a game with a killer learning curve.
