I realize that EVE Online's Gallente Election event is supposed to have surprises in the final week, but after getting two characters up to 1000 points I'm a bit tired. The event ends on 16 April but I think I'm done except for handing in my remaining tokens for items.
I think a lot of people got involved with the event last week. I'm not sure how much Asher's Friday call to mobilize the Imperium to invade TEST space in Geminate had. Sorry, I meant Winter Co. I'm sure the constellation being held by TEST was just a coincidence.
I don't know for sure, but the shift of Imperium pilots logging into EVE during the APAC time zone explains why the PCU for the week occurred on Saturday instead of the traditional Sunday. That and the fact Easter was also on Sunday are the driving factors. I think I can safely say those were the main reasons the ACU line moved up 1000 accounts to 25,000 for the week.
The global PLEX market was inching itself to higher prices until a 20% off PLEX sale hit the online store on Friday. The sale lasts until this coming Friday so perhaps the average price of PLEX will remain stabilized around 4.3 million ISK for the rest of the week.
On to the current event in EVE. I managed to get 1000 points on the event tracking bar for my second character in about 5 days. For the first character I didn't realize that turning in the political favors would also advance the event bar. Needless to say, I quickly bought a lot of drones, since light drones only cost 5 favors and medium drones cost 10 favors. I have:
- 6 - Atlas SD-900-I heavy drones
- 19 - Luna SD-600-I medium drones
- 28 - Stigmella SD-300-I light drones
I also now have 2 of the election buses.
I still have 15 political favors and 4 presidential favors to spend. I think I'm going to wait a couple of days to see if anything new shows up. After all, the devs did promise surprises for the final week of the event.
